Stormtrooper Vinyl Model Kit by Screamin': Paint & Assembly
I airbrushed the entire kit with an acrylic primer and then a Tamiya Gloss white. I originally intended to top coat the armor with a gloss coat but the Tamiya was glossy enough. The black undersuit was hand painted with a black semi-gloss.
After the armor was painted I assembled all the pieces. I added the right knee plate (scratch built from styrene), the belt drop boxes (laminated .09 styrene attached with a piece of .03 styrene) and the blaster.
The thermal detonator (back of the belt) was scratch built from a 1/2" acrylic tube, heat formed .06 strene detail plate, heat formed styrene end caps and silver painted .04 styrene bands. Sorry, no pics on this build.
Here's the kit without the helmet (I hate to cover up all that work!)
The base is a block of shelving wood with a styrene box built over it. I scribed in some deck plating and painted it in a gloss grey. A screw was set through the bottom of the base into the right foot of the Trooper.
